The visitors had the upper hand for the first three days of the match before England clawed their way back with a stunning all round performance on day four and wrapped up the game with ease on day 5.

India had a lead of 257 runs and seven wickets in hand when day 4 began. But from thereon, nothing much went their way. England took the remaining seven wickets for just 120 runs and then went on to chase down a record 378 with utmost ease.

Morgan was furious with Kohli at that time too, tweeting: “Kohli has a brass neck blowing mocking kisses at a bloke who’s scored three more Test hundreds in the past month than he has in the past 2.5 years.”

And following England’s sensational win over India, he decided to rub salt into the wounds for Kohli by tweeting the picture of the latter blowing the kiss with the caption: “Mwwwwwaaaah”.
