India and West Indies are set to lock heads in an upcoming ODI and T20I series. During India’s tour of West Indies 2022, a three-match ODI series and five-match T20I series will take place. IND vs WI ODI series will be played first followed by the IND vs WI T20I series.

The three ODI games will take place from July 22 to July 27. Then, the five T20I games will be played from July 29 to August 7. India has announced the squads for both the ODI and T20I series. West Indies has only announced the ODI squad so far.

For India, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the IND vs WI ODI series. Rohit Sharma will lead the team in the T20I series. For West Indies, Nicholas Pooran will lead the team in the ODI series. Both teams have many key players in their squads.

West Indies last faced Bangladesh at home in a T20I and ODI series. The multi-format series consisted of Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. West Indies managed to outplay Bangladesh in the T20I series 2-0. In the ODI series, West Indies faced a humiliating 0-3 loss.

Talking about India, they recently played a T20I and ODI series against England. India managed to win both the series 2-1. India defeated England by 50 runs in the 1st T20I and 49 runs in the 2nd T20I. India lost the 3rd T20I by 17 runs. In the ODI series, India won the 1st ODI by 10 wickets but lost the 2nd by 100 runs. In the 3rd ODI, India bagged victory by 5 wickets.

India and West Indies last played a T20I and ODI series earlier in February this year. India managed to defeat West Indies in all three ODIs and three T20Is, winning both the series 3-0. Now, West Indies have a chance to avenge their defeat on home soil.
