The super 12 round of the biggest T20 carnival on the planet is all set to begin on October 22 (Saturday) after the qualifying round concludes on Friday. A total of 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six teams each as each team will play five games during the Super 12 round. It is the main round where things will heat up to seal a place in the semifinals.

Apart from the team’s glory, each player will try to give their best to contribute massively to their respective teams’ cause. Hence, in this post, we will try to take a look at the top five players who can win the Player of the Tournament award in the T20 World Cup 2022.

5. Kagiso Rabada (South Africa)

Kagiso Rabada is South Africa’s strike bowler and will lead South Africa’s bowling attack in the mega event. The right-handed pacer can consistently bowl over 145 kmph. Furthermore, he can bowl at hard lengths, bouncers, and slower balls. Rabada also had a lethal yorker in his arsenal as well.

Kagiso Rabada is one of the only few pacers who can swing the new ball at his pace and that makes him a dangerous customer to deal with. Meanwhile, the Aussie conditions will suit his bowling style and Rabada could create havoc in the T20 World Cup 2022. The 27-year-old had a mixed series against India recently. However, Indian conditions are very different from Australia.

Kagiso Rabada has amassed some pretty impressive numbers in his T20I career so far. He has accounted for 54 wickets in 49 T20Is at an economy rate of 8.43. Not bad for a bowler who bowls all the difficult overs in the powerplay and at the death.
