WWE Will Continue Its Trend Of AEW-Style Post-PPV Press Conferences At Survivor Series

Full Gear is done, and the wrestling train rolls on. WWE will hold Survivor Series this Saturday, an event that will signal a big change for one of the longest-running PPVs, or premium live events, in WWE history. The first time WarGames matches will take place on the main roster, and a move away from the battle of the brands theme the event has had for the past six years.
WWE’s Post-PPV Press Conferences
Bringing the WarGames concept up from NXT is one of many ways Triple H has stamped the black and gold brand onto the main roster since assuming the role of head of creative. Another way he has done that is by holding post-show press conferences, something The Game will be doing once again after Survivor Series as revealed via WWE.com.
A mainstay in NXT, and a common theme in AEW too, WWE has confirmed Triple H will field questions from the press after the PLE on Saturday. It will be the second time WWE has done this with Triple H in charge as there was also a press conference after Clash at the Castle. Fans will be able to watch live on WWE’s Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok accounts.
Don’t Expect An AEW Affair
If you’ve never watched a WWE press conference before, whether in NXT or the one after Clash at the Castle, don’t expect the same as you’ll get from AEW. There won’t be a CM Punk going on an unexpected tirade that plunges the promotion into chaos, nor will they be an MJF cutting a planned promo that everyone will fawn over for days after. It’ll be a planned and polished presentation, but there will be Superstars who competed on the show speaking during it.
As for Survivor Series itself, the two WarGames matches are now set. As expected, The Bloodline will be stepping into the two-ring cage, and their opponents will be The Brawling Brutes. In the women’s WarGames match Damage CTRL will take on Team Belair, and elsewhere on the card Shotzi will be getting a shot at Ronda Rousey’s title, while AJ Styles will attempt to end his run of three years without a singles win on PPV by beating Finn Balor.
