Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden feels that London will not be big enough to celebrate India’s victory if they managed to pull off this massive chase in the World Test Championship final in Oval. Rohit Sharma-led side will look to end their 1o year ICC title drought on Sunday.

Indian team came up with a positive approach in the chase of 444 runs, as the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill batted with great intent before losing three wickets on the Day 4 of the historic chase and with a lot of stakes in the game, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane would look to use their experiences coming into the final day of the game.

Speaking on ICC, Matthew Hayden analyzed the bowling of Indian veteran Umesh Yadav, who set up nicely against the World No.1 batter Marnus Labuschagne on the fourth day of the game, and also feels that Cameron Green was not sure how to play on the surface, as he was completely clueless against Ravindra Jadeja in the 2nd innings and reckons that London would not enough to celebrate India’ victory if they managed to come on top in the final day.

“Umesh Yadav goes fuller, just a little extra bounce off the length. Marnus put his hands very low actually. The new ball definitely has bounce but this 46 overs old ball was expected to be lower – that caused him the problem. Green did not know what to do actually. Over the years Shane Warne used to come around the wicket, dump it into the rough, and turn it into the right-handers. Very few players had an option,” Matthew Hayden said.

Indian veteran wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik has given his verdict on the Kennington Oval, as the surface offered some invariable bounce on the Day 2 and 3 of the game, and feels that the Australian pacer will look to extract some bounce from the pavilion end of the game.

 “A lot of these body blows happened exactly at the end where Siraj is bowling; from the pavilion end. The majority of the Australian fast bowlers will extract as much bounce as possible from this end. We saw Shardul Thakur and Ajnikya Rahane get hit as well yesterday (Day 2),” Dinesh Karthik said.
