India captain Rohit Sharma was a happy man as India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 by a margin of 2-1 as the fourth and final Test match against Australia ended in a tame draw on March 13, 2023. Both teams have already qualified for the final of the ICC WTC 2023.
Australia, who had made 480 in the first innings thanks to 180 from Usman Khawaja and a maiden Test century by Cameron Green, managed to hold off the efforts of Indian bowlers on the final day as they finished on 175/2 on day five with Travis Head making 90 and a half-century from Marnus Labuschagne.
Indian innings were helmed by Shubman Gill, who made his second Test century in 128, and Virat Kohli who ended his barren run of form in Tests with a sublime 186, his 28th Test ton and 75th century overall. It was his first Test ton since November 2019, after a gap of 1025 days.

Cheteshwar Pujara Has His Action Copied By Rohit Sharma After The Match Ends In A Draw
After tea, it was obvious that the match was going to end in a draw and this gave Indian captain Rohit Sharma an opportunity to give bowling chances to non-regular bowlers. This led to Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara also rolling their arms over for one over each.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who was a happy chap after hands were shaken to declare the Test draw, was seen copying Cheteshwar Pujara’s bowling action while laughing with Ravindra Jadeja.

Meanwhile, thanks to Sri Lanka being defeated by New Zealand in the first Test between the two sides in Christchurch, the result ensured that India qualified for the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC 2023), where they will face Australia at the Oval from June 7-11.
Sri Lanka needed to defeat New Zealand in both the Tests of the series to qualify, but a brilliant Kane Williamson century robbed them of the chance as the Kiwis won by 2 wickets on the last ball of the Test.
