F4WOnline confirmed a report from PWInsider Elite on Friday that Vince McMahon was not backstage at SmackDown in Portland, OR. This is a change from Monday, in which McMahon was backstage at Raw, running the show. It was also confirmed McMahon made changes to Raw as the show was airing live.

The report also confirmed that McMahon did call in remotely on Friday and made only minor changes to SmackDown before the show went live on the air.

During an interview with CNBC last Monday, following the confirmation of the merger with UFC’s parent company Endeavor, McMahon said that he would remain involved with WWE creative “at a higher level”. Paul Levesque (Triple H), still remains as the company’s Chief Content Officer.
