Sri Lanka and Australia face each other in the fourth ODI in Colombo on June 21, Tuesday. The Lankans are leading the series 2-1 after winning the third ODI by six wickets. They registered back-to-back wins against Australia on home soil for the first time in 20 years.

Australia scored 291 from their 50 overs with Travis Head scoring 70, Aaron Finch 62 and contributions from Alex Carey, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green. Pathum Nissanka scored 137 and added a 213-run stand with Kusal Lemdis to take his side home. This was the right-hander’s first ODI ton and it resulted in a match-winning one. 

The Australians were taken aback by the partnership and the counter-attacking style of the two players. The side missed Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, their premier bowlers. While Starc was supposed to miss the first few games, Cummins was rested. The Australian side has seven of their regular players injured which is hampering them from playing a full-strength XI. 

With two games to go, both teams need to play their best cricket with a series to be won amid various other concerns. For Sri Lanka, an ODI series against the Aussies will be a huge boost after they lost the T20I series earlier.
