Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burl Return As Zimbabwe Announce Full Strength Squad For Netherlands ODIs

The Zimbabwe team will be boosted by the arrival of Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl for the ODI series against the Netherlands. Raza and Burl will return team to the team after their T20 franchise commitments.  Zimbabwe has named a full-strength squad with the likes of Williams, Chatara, and Muzarabani returning to the squad.

Zimbabwe team will be up against the Netherlands for three-match ODI series starting on March 21. The series would be good practice for both teams as they prepare for the 2023 world cup qualifiers. The qualifiers will be hosted by Zimbabwe in June-July this year.

 

“It’s great to have the whole team back and everyone fit, Our intention is of course to win the series – but it’s also an opportunity to try different combinations to achieve that goal with a view to the upcoming World Cup qualifier,” Zimbabwe Cricket head coach Dave Houghton stated.

Zimbabwe team had a good outing in the recently concluded ICC world T20 championship, Though they finished last in the group 12 stage. Zimbabwe claimed a last-ball win over the higher-ranked Pakistan, the most famous win in a long time. Sikandar Raza was the star for Zimbabwe in this encounter picking up three wickets for 25 runs.
