Recent Match Report – Sri Lanka vs New Zealand 2nd T20I 2022/23
[ad_1]
New Zealand have won the toss and chosen to bowl first in the second T20, at University Oval in Dunedin, as they attempt to level the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
The hosts are unchanged from the side that lost in a Super Over to Sri Lanka on Sunday, which means that their attack will consist of seamers Adam Milne, Henry Shipley, Ben Lister, and Ish Sodhi are the frontline bowlers, with the likes of James Neesham, Rachin Ravindra, and Daryll Mitchell in support.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, have made one change, bringing in seamer Kasun Rajitha for allrounder Chamika Karunaratne. The move strengthens their seam attack, with Rajitha having had a good tour of New Zealand so far. It does weaken their batting somewhat, though.
The weather for this encounter is expected to remain good throughout.
New Zealand: 1 Chad Bowes, 2 Tim Seifert, 3 Tom Latham (wk) (capt.), 4 Daryl Mitchell, 5 Mark Chapman, 6 James Neesham, 7 Rachin Ravindra, 8 Adam Milne, 9 Henry Shipley, 10 Ish Sodhi, 11 Ben Lister.
Sri Lanka: 1 Pathum Nissanka, 2 Kusal Mendis, 3 Kusal Perera (wk), 4 Dhananjaya de Silva, 5 Charith Asalanka, 6 Dasun Shanaka (capt.), 7 Wanindu Hasaranga, 8 Kasun Rajitha, 9 Pramod Madushan, 10 Maheesh Theekshana, 11 Dilshan Madushanka
