South Africa chose to bat vs England
South Africa opted to bat in the Women’s T20 World Cup semi-final against England which will decide who faces Australia in the showdown for the trophy on Sunday.
England rested seamer Lauren Bell for their final group-stage game against Pakistan but she returns to the fold, meaning Freya Davies misses out. South Africa are unchanged from the side which defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets to reach the semi-finals at the expense of New Zealand.
England have beaten South Africa in all three of their previous World Cup semi-final meetings, at the 2014 edition of this event and at the 2017 and 2022 ODI tournaments.
