Ramiz Raja advised Pakistan to detox from social media ahead of Sri Lanka clash

Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has delivered a straightforward message to the team ahead of their crucial last Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka on Thursday.

While talking on his YouTube channel, Ramiz advised the team to maintain distance from social media and television. He stressed the importance of mental rejuvenation, particularly in light of the emotional rollercoaster the team experienced after their recent defeat to India.

“If anyone needs special practice, they can take it. Go to the pool, relax. Don’t touch social media, don’t watch television channels. There won’t be anything good there because the whole of Pakistan is disappointed. Get united. You point fingers at each other after such defeats, that too against India. That shouldn’t happen,” Ramiz said.

With Pakistan and Sri Lanka both having 2 points after two Super 4 matches, their encounter is now a virtual semi-final – whoever wins will meet India in the final.

If the Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan match is washed out due to rain, Sri Lanka will qualify for the final as they hold a superior net run rate (-0.200) compared to Pakistan (-1.892).
