Veteran spinner Danish Kaneria has urged teams touring Pakistan to bring their third-string players to the country following the Green Brigade’s whitewash against England at home recently. The Three Lions ended the tour on a high with an emphatic eight-wicket victory in the third Test at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday, December 20.

Moreover, skipper Babar Azam also copped a lot of criticism throughout the series for his unimpressive captaincy tactics and for the team’s inability to showcase collective performance on the field.

We will have to face such embarrassment again and again: Danish Kaneria

“It is my request to other countries not to send their A team to Pakistan. Otherwise, we will have to face such embarrassment again and again. Please send us your ‘C’ team so that we somehow manage to win. We no longer have the ability to win. We don’t have any quality players or superstars in the team,” said Danish Kaneria on his YouTube channel.

“The Pakistani players are only concerned about their own performances and not the team. There is nobody to question them. We talk a lot about other teams, but why not take a look at our cricket instead? Pakistan cricket is sinking. There has to be a complete revamp. We should send our U-19 team instead. Even if they lose, it won’t be disappointing,” he added.

With this loss, not only did Pakistan suffer two successive Test series defeats at home this year but have now lost four straight Test matches as well. They were beaten 0-1 by Australia in March.

The Australians had toured Pakistan for the first time after 1998 for a bilateral series while this was England’s first visit to the country after 2005. Thus, these losses have raised a lot of questions in regards to Pakistan team’s Test cricketing standards.

Pakistan who are now languishing at the seventh position in the WTC rankings are also out of the final race.
