Indian veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra lauded young Ravi Bishnoi for his exceptional bowling performance for Lucknow Super Giants. The 22-year-old has impressed everyone since his debut for the franchise in IPL 2022–and has picked by 6 wickets in 2023 with an economy rate of less than 7 runs an over.

Young Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi came to the limelight after picking 17 wickets in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. Speaking on his impressive performance, Amit Mishra, who made his debut for the Lucknow side hailed the young Bishnoi for his patience in the game–and allowed the batters to make a mistake in a bid to pick up the wicket.

“He is very positive. I tell him the ways he can wicket from, the areas he can ball in. He has ‘waiting-game’ style bowling, he waits for the batter to make a mistake and I make the batsman make a mistake this is the difference and it’s very important for us to understand it,” Amit Mishra said.

Amit Mishra said that he shares a good rapport with young Ravi Bishnoi, as the youngster always seeks advice from him. He is also curious to learn new things from him.

“Bishnoi is bowling well. We are two different bowlers and we share a very good bond. He always approaches me for advice and I tell him. The best thing about him is that he is curious to learn new things and tries to tell him according to his bowling style,” Mishra further added.

Lucknow Super Giants spinners combined to pick up 6 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad, With Krunal Pandya being the star performer for the team well supported by young Ravi Bishnoi and experienced Amit Mishra to restrict the 2016-champions to 121 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Lucknow Super Giants will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their third league game of the season on April 10 at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.
