Jhulan Goswami
Jhulan Goswami is known as the “bowling warhorse” of the team. She made India’s debut in 2002 and has been leading the bowling unit successfully. Goswami was once the fastest bowler in women’s cricket history.
In 2007, Goswami won the “ICC Women’s Player of the Year“. She was titled with the Arjuna Award in 2010 and the Padma Shri award in 2012. Jhulan has been an inspiration to the generation of women cricketers. From 2008-2011, Jhulan is the leading wicket-taker in women’s ODIs (255) and is the first woman cricketer to bag 200 wickets in ODIs.
