Former South African batter AB de Villiers has suggested an approach for India on the final day of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia on Sunday. De Villiers feels India possesses the potential to prevail in the WTC final. Notably, Australia might have been pleased with how the fourth day of their World Test Championship encounter against India went. With Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Cheteshwar Pujara back in the pavilion, the Aussies have reduced India to 164-3 after giving a 400-run plus target.

India got off to a strong start as Gill and Rohit attacked the Australians and quickly scored runs. AB De Villiers shares solid advice for Team India ahead of the WTC Final

In the same line of events, Kohli’s former teammate at Royal Challengers Bangalore AB de Villiers reckons India still has a chance of securing the WTC title. De Villiers instructed India to focus on Nathan Lyon and not lose more than one wicket until the second new ball.

“If India can find a way for Lyon to go at 5’s.. lose max 1 more wicket until the 2nd new ball.. u never know,” de Villiers said on Twitter.

“The long and short, absolutely have to be more attacking against Lyon,” the former batter further added.
