Australian speedster Mitchell Starc made a huge claim that the Australian team was not given facilities during the forced break between the second and third Tests. The third test between India and Australia is underway in Indore. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who won the toss elected to bat first in the high-octane clash.

Both teams made two changes in the playing 11 with India replacing KL Rahul with Shubman Gill and Mohammad Shami with Umesh Yadav in their team. Similarly Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc replaced David Warner and Pat Cummins in their lineup.

Mitchell Starc speaking to a broadcaster ahead of the third test said that Australian Team has a lot to play in this series, with the World Test Championship likely to play between the two teams. Starc reckoned that Australia still has an opportunity to draw the series.

“Still a lot to achieve in this series. WTC is one part of it. There are personal adaptations in these conditions. The series isn’t lost yet. Still, an opportunity to draw the series. Have had a few days to reflect and rest after the second Test. It was a forced break I guess with no facilities and whatnot in the break period,” Starc said.

The 33-year-old made a stunning revelation that Australian Team has no facilities for training in the break between two tests and rather than spending the time in training they spent their time golf course and other team activities.

“A good chance to prepare here and get involved in this series. With no facilities for training it was a forced break for a lot of people that might’ve wanted to get out there. A good chance to get around one another. A few of us did that around the golf course to relax and chat about the game,” he added.

Earlier in the series, Australia wanted to train on the surface at VCA Stadium to make up for the early conclusion to their innings loss. However, the tourists’ plan could not materialise after they learned that the pitch had been watered just hours after the first Test ended.
