Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury but is set to make his comeback in the three-match T20I series against Australia.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was a relieved man after Jasprit Bumrah made his comeback after an injury layoff. Earlier, the pacer was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury. The Men in Blue felt his absence badly and failed to go beyond the Super Four, losing to Babar Azam’s Pakistan and Dasun Shanaka’s Sri Lanka.
Jasprit Bumrah’s Absence In Asia Cup 2022 Didn’t Go Well For The Indian Team: Rohit Sharma
The 34-year-old Rohit Sharma stated that Jasprit Bumrah is an attacking option and his absence hurt the Indian team to a large extent.
“Bumrah is a very important player. The way he has performed over the last few years has been fantastic. He is an attacking bowler and if such a bowler isn’t a part of the team, it doesn’t go well for the team,” Rohit was quoted as saying in a press conference.
