Disney-Star and Viacom share the spoils in 5 billion-dollar-plus IPL rights deal
The world’s richest cricket league has just got a lot richer. Disney-Star* has retained the IPL TV rights for the Indian subcontinent, Viacom-Reliance has won the digital rights across two categories in the subcontinent and three regions globally, and Times Internet has won two other global regions to add up to a deal worth over US$5 billion.
