The first hour of Monday night raw was commercial-free for WWE. And with that hour, the company really got off to a chaotic start. The opening segment featured Becky Lynch fighting with Damage CTRL, with the second segment was a singles match that turned into an eight-person tag. Things didn’t slow down after that as Raw kept a steady pace and offered some strong in-ring action and a fun main event that saw Kevin Owens get one over on The Bloodline.

Oh… and Dexter Lumis is finally and officially a WWE Superstar.

Here are your winners and losers for Monday night raw, November 28, 2022:

Winner: Opening Stadium Brawl

Becky Lynch started the show and walked out into the crowd to converse with the fans. A slightly awkward few moments with Bob and Zachary were interrupted by Bayley who called Becky Lynch out. When Becky came to the ring to deal with the leader of Damage CTRL, she was followed down the stadium stairwell by Dakota Kai, and Io Sky. That led to an all-out brawl that filtered into the stadium concourse and the merch stands.

The first few minutes were set up to make sure fans knew there was no love lost between these superstars while creating an early pace for the show the rest of the roster was going to have to keep up with. All the while, WWE wanted to send a message that Becky Lynch was a top star and could hold her own even against three competitors.

Winner: 8-Person Tag

A solid opening match between Mia Yim and Rhea Ripley, turned into an eight-person tag when chaos ensued between The Judgment Day and the O.C. The first match was solid, but the tag match was a lot of fun. It was filled with lots of action, and some back-and-forth teases between Ripley and the guys and Michin and the guys. In the end, it was Ripley getting the win for her team with a Riptide finisher on Mia Yim. Ripley is really standing out among all eight WWE superstars as the one person who could be a megastar when this is all over.

Winner: Jey Stands Up For Sami

Coming off of the Survivor Series, Jey and Sami finally appear to be on the same page. In fact, Jey Uso stood up for Sami when Kevin Owens said he didn’t blame his buddy for doing what he did, but to always remember, no matter what was going on, Sami was not a part of the Uso family. Jey and Kevin agreed to fight later in the evening, and throughout this entire segment, there was an underlying theme undertone that at some point, Sami will be turned on, or Sammy will turn on Jey. WWE is doing a really good job of stretching this out and making that eventual turn feel like it’s going to be a huge moment.

Winner: Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy

The Street Profits returned on Monday Night Raw and picked up a big win over Alpha Academy. Both Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford were jacked and had tons of energy. Both pulled out a couple of new moves and WWE highlighted the fact that Montez was able to bodyslam Otis. Eventually, it was Ford with a high-flying frog splash to pick up the pin on Chad Gable.

Having The Street Profits back is a big deal in WWE. They are one of the few tag teams that will be a legitimate and believable threat for the Usos, who don’t have a real opponent who is likely to stop their historic run in its tracks.

Winner: Dexter Lumis Wins Contract

Dexter Lumis was finally going to get his match with The Miz and if he won, he would get all of the money The Miz owed him plus Lumis would earn a WWE contract. This was an interesting match because it had a little bit of Andre the Giant slamming Big John Studd and giving away the money to the fans, mixed with a little bit of the Undertaker and his being impervious to pain. That said, the vice grip on Lumis was unlike anything else, but funny.

It looks like this feud is over and Lumis will go on to wrestle other competitors as an official WWE superstar. He’s extremely unique, so WWE getting his next rivalry right is important. The Miz will likely go on to battle with Johnny Gargano because of everything Johnny Wrestling did to embarrass The A-Lister. It’s fair to argue this match didn’t have the huge payoff one would expect from months of WWE building this up, but they did pay it off.

Winner: Dakota Kai vs. Candice LeRae

A really strong singles match saw Candice LeRae make her return to WWE and take on Dakota Kai. This was two females at their best in the women’s division, a division that had a good showing on Monday night. Frankly, WWE should let their female competitors have 15 minutes and two commercial breaks to wrestle more often if these are the results that the fans will get to witness when that happens. LeRae picked up the win with a neck breaker off the second rope. That might be considered a bit of a surprise, but it helps establish another legitimate competitor in that division.

Winner: Kevin Owens Fends Off The Bloodline On His Own

Kevin Owens called out Jey Uso earlier in the evening and the main event was these two going at it. The only issue for Owens was that he was on his own. Jey had Jimmy, Sami, and Solo Sikoa at ringside to help him out. Owens was nearly beaten a few times. Despite Jimmy and Solo’s best efforts, Owens was able to work around the numbers game, land a Stunner and get the pin. He scrambled out of dodge as the show came to a close. Zayn did not get in on the shenanigans and help The Bloodline beat his friend, even though he was in The Bloodline’s corner the entire match.
