DC vs MI Match Preview: IPL 2023, Match 16: Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will be desperate to open their accounts in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League when they lock horns against each other. The DC vs MI contest will be the 16th match of IPL 2023 and will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

DC vs MI Match Preview:

Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are occupying the bottom two spots in the points table at the moment. And while it is still early days in IPL 2023, it won’t be wrong to say that both the teams must be desperate to get some winning momentum soon.

Few more defeats could very well jeopardise their entire campaigns. Delhi Capitals are lying at the bottom spot with 3 losses from as many games. In absence of their skipper Rishabh Pant, the 2020 IPL runner-up have looked clueless so far.

Nothing much has clicked for them so far under their new captain David Warner. While Warner has done well with the bat and has hit two fifties, the failures of other batsmen have hurt the team big time. The likes of Mitchell Marsh, Prithvi Shaw, Rilee Rossouw, Rovman Powell are yet to get going.

In three games that Delhi Capitals have played so far, they have registered scored of 143/9, 162/8 and 142/9. The bowlers have not performed well either and have conceded two 190-plus totals already. Delhi will be hoping that their bowlers as well as batsmen turn up against Mumbai.

Talking about Mumbai Indians, they have started their campaign with two crushing defeats. In their tournament-opener, they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets before Chennai Super Kings thrashed them by 7 wickets in their own backyard.

In both the games, their batting and bowling looked vulnerable. While against RCB, they were reeling at 98 for 5 at one stage, CSK had them reeling at 76 for 5. The bowlers’ performance was equally unimpressive in both the games.

RCB chased down the 172-run total by losing just 2 wickets after their openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis added 148 runs for the first wicket. CSK, on the other hand, chased down the 158-run total in just 18.1 overs by losing 3 wickets.
