Princess of Pop Britney Spears got married to the love of her life, Sam Asghari, last week. From the moment the first glimpses of the wedding were shared on social media, fans have been raving about the dreamy ceremony and just how happy Britney Spears looked on her big day. Now, adding to the list of happy pictures, the singer has shared another image from the ceremony. In the photo, she is seen sitting on a couch with husband Sam Asghari by her side and several guests gathered around her. Singer-actress Selena Gomez, who was one of the few guests at the wedding, is seen kneeling next to Britney Spears engaged in an animated conversation with her.

In the caption, Britney Spears said, “After dancing all night I finally sat down and realized who I was.”

Replying to the post, groom Sam Asghari, 28, said, “The best wedding I’ve ever been invited to.” Cute, isn’t it?

In addition to Selena Gomez, the wedding also saw Madonna, Paris Hilton, Donatella Versace and Drew Barrymore gathering under one roof to wish the bride and good the very best on their big day. In a testament to how much their presence meant to Britney Spears, she even penned a long note tagging her friends and shared it along with a picture of Sam and herself.

Referring to her wedding as the “most spectacular day” of her life, the pop diva said, “Wow. We did it. We got married, I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me… We’re getting married. I had a panic attack and then got it together… the crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic. The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better.”

Addressing her friends who made it to the wedding, Britney Spears wrote, “So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock. Drew Barrymore, my girl crush. And, Selena Gomez, who by the way is way prettier in person if that’s possible, both came.”

Referring to the fact that Britney Spears recreated her kiss with Madonna – remember the iconic moment from the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards?–  at the wedding, the bride added, “I was speechless… I kissed Madonna again. And, we danced into the night with Paris Hilton…”

 Donatella Versace also got a thank you note from the 40-year-old. “Thank you Donatella Versace for designing my dress… I felt so beautiful.  I think we all fell on the dance floor at least 2 times. I mean come on … we were all voguing,” she said. 

To the post, Selena Gomez replied, “Love you.”

Giving us a peek into the behind-the-scenes action from the run-up to the wedding, Britney Spears shared a video and said, “Fairytales are real.”

Britney Spears met Sam Asghari on the sets of Slumber Party, her music video in 2016 and began dating soon after.
