Former WWE Female Star Pitching Hard To Be Part Of Baywatch Reboot Series

[ad_1]

According to a few sources, including popular Twitter account @DiscussingFilm, a Baywatch television reboot is in the works and there’s talk that former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose might be pitching hard to be in the show, if not already having been cast to play a character in the new series.

The original series starred David Hasselhoff who was already famous for a number of popular shows, but the real takeaway from the series was how it propelled model Pamela Anderson to superstardom. Perhaps Rose is hoping this will do the same for her. Rose has been sharing tweets and images on her social media accounts over the past few days, showcasing features and images that were iconic with the old show. Among them, she’s seen posing in the classic red lifeguard bathing suits that Anderson made famous, plus Rose also posed at the top of the ramp of a lifeguard station on the beach.

Since the moment the news came out about the show, Rose has been all over it, either trying to send a message to producers that she wants to be in or teasing fans that she already is.

This wouldn’t be the first time the show has seen a reboot of sorts. A few years back, The Rock and Zach Efron starred in a remake moving based on the series. While it was a profitable film, it was critically slammed and any idea of a sequel has been scrapped.

When Is The Show Set To Air?

A release date of Baywatch is yet to be confirmed, and which platform or network will be carrying the show has also not been revealed. Right now, it is believed that negotiations and talks with networks are ongoing and there is speculation that perhaps Apple+ might be involved. The show is in pre-production, so, at the earliest, don’t expect anything until the second half of 2024.

In the meantime, if Mandy Rose is involved, the chances of her returning to WWE have just gone down exponentially, even in light of the fact WWE has loosened its stance on third-party revenue for WWE Superstars.
