Palwasha Bashir and Raja Hasnain on Friday sprung a major upset at the International Badminton Championship being held in Cairo.

The duo overpowered top-seeded Egyptians Adham Hatem and Doha Hany 22-20, 21-16 after a hard-fought battle in the mixed doubles event.
