Virat Kohli led the dressing room celebrations after Ravindra Jadeja completed his century in the ongoing Test between India and England at Edgbaston.

Continuing his impressive form with the bat in recent times, Ravindra Jadeja, on Saturday (July 2), hammered his fourth Test century to put India well on top against England in Birmingham. It was Jadeja’s third century in the longest format of the game and the first against England.

His first Test century came in 2018 when he scored exactly 100 not out against West Indies in Rajkot. His second one came in March this year when he played a sublime knock of 175 not out against Sri Lanka in Mohali.

Virat Kohli and Co. celebrate Ravindra Jadeja’s century:

Ravindra Jadeja has become the crisis man for India and he proved it again in the ongoing Test. The visitors were in deep trouble when Jadeja walked out to bat and joined Rishabh Pant in the middle. India were reeling at 98 for 5 at that stage and a good total was looking like a distant dream.

However, Pant and Jadeja went on to score centuries to not only bail India out of trouble but also put the team in a commanding position. The duo shared 222 runs for the sixth wicket on day one before Joe Root ended the stand by dismissing Pant for 146.

At the close of day one, Jadeja was unbeaten on 83 and it did not take him long to complete his century on day 2. He reached the three-figure mark with a couple of fours of Matthew Potts. It was a special century for Jadeja and the way his teammates celebrated it, they made it clear that they knew its importance.

The century was Jadeja’s first overseas Test century. And as soon as he completed his ton, the whole dressing room erupted in joy. Virat Kohli led the celebration as the Indian dressing room lauded the allrounder for his heroic knock.
