New Delhi:

The release of Salaar, South star Prabhas’ next film with KGF director Prashant Neel, has been postponed. The film will now release in November, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Earlier, Salaar was slated to arrive in theatres on September 28. Taran Adarsh wrote, “#BreakingNews…PRABHAS: ‘SALAAR’ TO ARRIVE IN November… #Salaar is NOT arriving on 28 September 2023, it’s OFFICIAL now… The post-production work of this #Prabhas starrer is going on in full swing… #HombaleFilms – the producers – are bringing the film in Nov 2023… New release date soon.”  Fans didn’t waste a minute in linking Salaar’s delayed release with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which will open in theatres next week, on September 7. One of the fans said, “Trailer dekha hoga Jawan ka (He must have seen the trailer of Jawan)” Another person wrote, “Jawan ke trailer ne Salaar ke makers ko Hila dala na (The trailer of Jawan has shook the makers of Salaar).”  Some even called it “Khauf-E-Jawan.”

A fan picked a famous dialogue from of Akshay Kumar’s film Bhagam Bhag, “Behen dar gayi…behen dar gayi.”

“Fear of SRKians comes to an end now Jawan got a whole month run,” read a comment.

With Salaar now set for a November release, Salman Khan fans also entered the chat, urging makers to avoid a clash with Tiger 3.

Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, will release on Diwali 2023.

Meanwhile, the advance bookings of Jawan opened in India on Friday. According to the latest update, shared by Taran Adarsh on X (formerly called Twitter), SRK’s film has so far sold out 172,000 tickets.

He wrote, “Jawan ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS NOTE: Tickets sold for *Thursday* / *Day 1* at NATIONAL CHAINS… Update: Saturday, 3 pm. #PVR + #INOX: 141,500. #Cinepolis: 30,500. Total: 172,000 tickets sold.”

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. It is directed by Atlee Kumar.  Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Girija Oak, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi are also a part of the film.
