5 Superstars who can interfere in Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes match

The entire wrestling world has its eyes set on the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2 main event. The huge match would see The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes collide against The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

However, the match would either be contested under Bloodline Rules or a fair fight between Reigns and Rhodes depending on the outcome of the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 1. With tensions running high and multiple superstars tied up in this rivalry through the past and present, here are 5 WWE superstars who can cause interference in the Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes match at WrestleMania 40 match:

1. Drew McIntyre can interfere in WrestleMania main event

Amidst the ongoing feud between Cody Rhodes, his partner Seth Rollins, and The Bloodline, one man has kept himself away from the conversation, despite being extended an invitation to join the war against the Samoan Clan, Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior turned down Rollins’ offer to join them in this battle, choosing to focus on his motives of becoming World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.

However, it was also noticed two weeks ago on RAW that McIntyre was having a private conversation with Bloodline’s Wiseman, Paul Heyman. That could very well translate into a run-altercation in the match with McIntyre revealed as their hired assassin and potentially siding with The Bloodline going forward.

2. Stone Cold Steve Austin can interfere in WrestleMania main event

The speculations are running wild that WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is slated to make an appearance at WrestleMania 40. The Texas Rattlesnake could make his presence felt in the main event of Night 2, should the match take place under Bloodline Rules. Austin could run in to neutralize the threat of his iconic rival, The Rock, and clear the path for Cody Rhodes to take down Roman Reigns on his own.

3. John Cena

Another one of Bloodline’s heated rivals, the GOAT John Cena could make his presence felt in the historic WrestleMania 40 Night 2 main event. The 16-time WWE Champion has been involved in a heated feud with Roman Reigns in the past and was last seen beaten down at the hands of the Enforcer, Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel.

Fueled with revenge and the aspiration to see Cody Rhodes fill the shoes he once did as WWE’s flagship star, John Cena could run interference in the match alongside other Cody allies to take down The Bloodline for good measure.

4. Seth Rollins

The man who alongside Cody Rhodes will face The Rock and Roman Reigns on Night 1 of the show, Seth Rollins could choose to defend his ally in their quest to free the WWE from the Bloodline’s rule. Assuming they would lose their tag match on Night 1, Seth Rollins would take advantage of the Bloodline Rules matches to take out other Bloodline members and maybe lay a shot at his long-time brother, Roman Reigns. This would give Cody the opening to strike and hit Cross Rhodes to win the championship extending his relationship with once-rival Seth Rollins further.

5. Jey Uso

Joining the Cody Rhodes support bandwagon alongside Seth Rollins could be The Bloodline’s estranged member, Jey Uso. The Main Event RAW star has been costed opportunities and been subjected to multiple attacks by The Bloodline members including his own brother, Jimmy Uso. As seen in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 40, Jey could appear alongside Seth Rollins to take out The Bloodline.

With both of them neutralizing the prevailing threat, they could pave the way for Cody Rhodes to go it alone with Roman Reigns and possibly end one of the greatest WWE title reigns of all time at WrestleMania XL.
